Larisa Ljungkrona-Mönttinen

In 2016, Larisa put the trio Blånedan together as an exploratory project with her friends and colleagues Emma Lagerberg (fiddle, vocals) and Lovisa Risinger (viola d’amore, vocals).

Since then Larisa has composed for, improvised and arranged music for this setting. The collaboration has its focus on interplay, presence and the exploration of the inner musical room. With roots in and signs of folk music, the music can be described as stories without words and an exploration of free bass accordion, voices and fiddles as one organic being. It is composed and improvised, grown from the meeting between the musicians and processed by Larisa. It is beautiful and meditative, vibrating and explosive.

The trio will release their first album in 2027 on their own label Rundil Records.
